Cost and Financing

Root Canal Cost

Cost should be estimated honestly after diagnosis, not invented for a web page.

Cost Estimate Basics

Root canal cost depends on the tooth type, number of canals, infection, crown needs, and insurance benefits. Elm Ridge performs many root canals, including molars, but not retreatments.

What Affects Cost?

  • Front tooth, premolar, or molar
  • Canal complexity
  • Need for crown
  • Emergency visit
  • Insurance coverage
  • Financing
  • insurance plan
  • deductible
  • annual maximum
  • remaining benefits
  • treatment complexity
  • imaging
  • materials
  • number of teeth
  • sedation, when applicable
  • grafting or additional procedures, when applicable
  • financing selection, when applicable

Insurance and Benefits

Elm Ridge is in-network with many major PPO dental plans and can file many out-of-network PPO plans. Benefits vary by employer and plan. We can estimate benefits, but final payment is determined by the insurance company.

Financing Options

CareCredit and Cherry are available. In-house payment arrangements may be considered case by case. Payment is due at the time of service unless another arrangement has been made before treatment.

Why an Exam May Be Needed

Diagnosis and X-rays are needed because a toothache might require a filling, crown, root canal, extraction, or referral.
