WELLNESS EXAMS
Regular exams are an important part of keeping your mouth healthy - we recommend a visit every six months - but, whether its been six months or six years, we'll help get you on track - shame free.
We use the highest level of technology available. Our digital x-rays not only take clearer pictures, but keep you safer by lowering your radiation dose. We are also one of the few offices with a 3D x-ray imaging system. That means safer treatment and more accurate assessments so we can eliminate the guess work and you only get the treatment you need.

What Happens During a Wellness Exam?
A wellness exam at Elm Ridge is a complete picture of your oral health — not just a quick look at your teeth. During your visit, Dr. Jeff or Dr. Kayla will:

Review your medical and dental history to understand any concerns, sensitivities, or conditions that may affect your care

Perform a comprehensive oral examination of your teeth, gums, tongue, jaw, and bite

Check for signs of tooth decay, gum disease, and oral cancer — early detection makes all the difference

Evaluate your bite and jaw function to identify any issues with alignment or TMJ

Take digital X-rays as needed to see what's happening beneath the surface

The exam typically takes 45–60 minutes and is a great opportunity to ask questions, share concerns, and get to know our team.
